Mudavadi quizzed by anti-graft officials E-mail
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Government Musalia Mudavadi is currently being grilled by Kenya Anti Corruption Commission investigators over the cemetery land scandal.

Mudavadi who has since denied any involvement in the scam is implicated by the KACC report .

According to the report, there is credible evidence that Mudavadi, his PS Sammy Kirui and Nairobi mayor Godfrey Majiwa were directly involved in the conspiracy to defraud the state 253 million shillings.

The report has details of minutes on how the scandal was hatched. The report further reveals that the tender award was based on a forged valuation report introduced by the city council of Nairobi director of legal affairs Mary Ngethe.

It further says Mayor Majiwa introduced Newton Osiemo as Mudavadi business associate detailed to take care of the deputy PMs personal interests and those of his PS Sammy Kirui.

17 people benefited from the loot with Osiemo receiving the highest amount of 59 million shillings. President Mwai Kibaki has suspended 13 public servants implicated in the scandal including Kirui.
