- Some STI's can cause death
- Most STI's are viruses so they have no cure.
- Chlamydia and gonorrhea can damage a woman's fallopian tubes meaning she may never be able to bear children
- HPV can cause cervical cancer
- The more sexual partners you have, the more likely you are to become infected with an STI
- You can get an STI the very first time you have sex
- If you have had sex or are having sex, you should get tested for STI's
